SiteGPT Alternative for SaaS Support

· 7 min read
SiteGPT vs Qurius comparison cover

SiteGPT is a well-established tool for turning your website into an AI chatbot. If you're searching for a SiteGPT alternative, you probably have a specific reason: you want a free plan to start, a lower monthly price, or a simpler setup that fits a SaaS team without a support department.

This is an honest comparison from the team behind Qurius AI. We'll say where SiteGPT is the better choice, too. All SiteGPT figures below come from SiteGPT's pricing page, checked on October 27, 2026. Pricing changes, so confirm on their site before you decide.

The short version

  • Choose SiteGPT if you want a mature AI chatbot platform with lots of integrations (Slack, Messenger, Crisp, Freshdesk and more; Zendesk on Scale), an iOS app for live takeover, webhooks, and room to scale to tens of thousands of messages and multiple chatbots.
  • Choose Qurius if you're a small SaaS team that wants one thing done well: answer customer questions from your docs and website, show sources, and email you when it can't help, starting free and staying under $100 a month.

How the pricing works

SiteGPT has no free plan. Every self-serve plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and a credit card is required. Prices depend on whether you pay monthly or yearly:

SiteGPT planMonthly billingYearly billing (per month)Messages/monthChatbots
Starter$59$39 ($468/yr)Up to 4k (GPT-4.1-mini)1
Growth$129$79 ($948/yr)Up to 10k2
Scale$429$259 ($3,108/yr)Up to 40k3
EnterpriseCustomCustomCustomCustom

SiteGPT's message counts depend on the model: Starter's 4k GPT-4.1-mini messages become 400 if you use GPT-4.1, "with any mix in between." Extra messages come in packs of 5k for $59/mo. Removing the SiteGPT branding, WhatsApp and AI email support are separate add-ons (each listed at $39/mo on yearly billing).

Qurius counts messages: one visitor question and its answer is one message. Plans are flat and billed monthly:

PlanPriceMessages/month
Free$050
Starter$292,000
Growth$5910,000
Pro$9925,000

On paid plans you can buy extra messages ($10 per 1,000) or turn on automatic top-ups with a monthly cap, so a busy month doesn't take your assistant offline.

What that means in practice: at around 10,000 questions a month, Qurius Growth is $59. SiteGPT Growth covers the same volume (on GPT-4.1-mini) for $129 monthly or $79 a month paid yearly. If you need more than 25,000 messages, several chatbots, or a large team, SiteGPT's Scale plan is built for that and Qurius isn't.

Tip: whichever tool you choose, estimate your volume first. Count how many support questions you get a month, then pick the plan that covers it with some headroom.

Getting started

With SiteGPT you start a 7-day trial with a card on file, or try the demo bot trained on SiteGPT's own site.

With Qurius you can try it on your own website without signing up: enter your URL, Qurius reads your pages, and you can ask your new assistant questions in about a minute. If you like it, claim it on the free plan, which includes a 10-page website import once a month, FAQs, and handoff. Going live is one script tag that works on WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Framer, Shopify, plain HTML or inside your app (here's how to add it).

Human handoff

For customer support, what happens when the AI can't answer matters as much as the answers it gives.

Qurius includes a "Talk to a person" button on every plan, including Free. The customer leaves their contact details and you get an email right away, so you can follow up. No helpdesk or app required.

SiteGPT handles this through its platform: on Growth and above, its iOS app gives your team a live inbox with push notifications when a visitor asks for a human, and one tap to take over from the AI. Scale adds webhooks for escalations and leads, plus a Zendesk AI Agent that hands conversations to your human agents with full history. That's a real strength if you want live chat takeover or already run Zendesk.

Trust: sources and "I don't know"

Qurius answers only from the content you give it, shows the sources for each answer (the page, document or FAQ it came from), and tells the customer when your content doesn't cover a question instead of guessing. On paid plans, those unanswered questions show up in your dashboard, so you know exactly what to add next.

SiteGPT offers something similar on Growth and above: "knowledge gaps with one-click Q&A fixes" in its advanced analytics, plus a weekly email digest that includes the questions the chatbot could not answer. On Starter, analytics are basic.

Whatever you evaluate, test this yourself: ask a question your docs don't cover and see what happens.

Where SiteGPT is stronger

  • Channels and integrations: Google Chat, Messenger, Slack, Zendesk, Crisp, Freshdesk Messaging, Zoho SalesIQ and more. Qurius is a website widget only.
  • Live takeover: the iOS app (Growth+) lets you jump into conversations in real time.
  • Scale: up to 40k messages, 50,000 pages and 10 team members self-serve, with enterprise options above that.
  • Automation: API access, webhooks and daily sitemap scans on higher plans.
  • Model choice: pick GPT-4.1 for harder questions, trading volume for quality.
  • Compliance: a signed DPA and HIPAA eligibility on Enterprise. Qurius doesn't claim HIPAA.

If those matter to you today, SiteGPT is a solid choice.

Where Qurius is a better fit

  • Built for SaaS teams without a support department. Fewer settings, faster setup.
  • A real free plan, plus a no-signup trial on your own site.
  • Lower entry price: $29 for 2,000 messages, $59 for 10,000.
  • Handoff by email on every plan, without an app or helpdesk.
  • Flat, predictable pricing from $0 to $99 a month; extra messages $10 per 1,000.
  • Try it on your own site without signing up: enter your website and see an assistant built from your pages in about a minute.

Who should pick which

  • Small SaaS team, website support only, under 25k questions a month: Qurius.
  • You want to answer customers in Slack, Messenger or Zendesk too: SiteGPT.
  • You want to take over chats live from your phone: SiteGPT (Growth+).
  • You're testing whether an AI assistant helps at all: start with Qurius Free or /try, since there's no card needed.
  • Agency or multi-brand setup with several bots: SiteGPT.

How to decide in 15 minutes

  1. Write down 10 real questions customers asked you last month, including two your docs don't answer.
  2. Set up both tools on your content (Qurius free plan, SiteGPT trial).
  3. Ask all 10 questions in each. Check accuracy, whether sources are shown, and what happens with the two unanswerable ones.
  4. Estimate your monthly cost at your real volume.

The tool that answers correctly, admits what it doesn't know, and costs least at your volume is the right one.
