Tidio Alternative for SaaS Teams

· 4 min read
Tidio Lyro vs Qurius comparison cover

Tidio is a popular live chat platform, and Lyro is its AI agent. It's a strong option for online stores and teams that want live chat, automation flows and AI in one place. If you're a small SaaS team looking for an alternative, it's usually because you want AI answers from your docs without paying for a whole live chat setup.

This is an honest comparison from the team behind Qurius AI. We'll say where Tidio is the better choice, too. Tidio figures below come from Tidio's pricing page, checked on November 3, 2026. Pricing changes, so confirm on their site before you decide.

The short version

  • Choose Tidio if you want live chat with human agents, sales automation flows, and AI in one platform, especially for e-commerce.
  • Choose Qurius if you want an AI assistant that answers from your docs and website, shows its sources, and emails you when someone needs a person, at a flat monthly price, with no live chat inbox to staff.

How the pricing works

Tidio prices its products separately. Its customer service plans start at $29 a month billed monthly ($24.17 a month billed annually) for 100 billable conversations, which are the live chats and tickets your team handles. Lyro, the AI agent, is billed by Lyro conversations: any conversation with at least one reply from Lyro counts as one, however many messages it takes. The Lyro AI Agent plan starts at $39 a month billed monthly ($32.50 billed annually) for 50 Lyro conversations. Every account gets 50 Lyro conversations to start, as a one-off; they refresh monthly only on the Lyro AI Agent or Plus plans. Flows have their own limits.

Qurius has one usage number: messages, where one visitor question and its answer is one message. Plans are flat:

PlanPriceMessages/month
Free$050
Starter$292,000
Growth$5910,000
Pro$9925,000

On paid plans you can add messages ($10 per 1,000) or turn on automatic top-ups with a monthly cap.

Comparing fairly: Tidio counts conversations and Qurius counts messages. A typical support conversation is 1 to 3 questions, so estimate both from your real chat history before comparing prices.

Live chat vs. AI with email handoff

This is the biggest difference, and it's about how you work, not features.

Tidio is a live chat platform. Its strength is that your team can jump into conversations in real time from a shared inbox and mobile apps. That's great if someone is available to answer chats.

Qurius doesn't need anyone online. The assistant answers from your content 24/7. When it can't help, the customer taps "Talk to a person", leaves their details, and you get an email with the conversation to follow up when you can. That's on every plan, including Free.

If you're a founder or a two-person team, ask yourself honestly: will someone be watching a live chat inbox? If not, email handoff is often the better experience, because customers aren't left waiting in a chat nobody is watching.

Answers from your content

Both Lyro and Qurius answer from your support content rather than scripted paths.

Qurius also:

  • Shows the source of each answer (page, document or FAQ), so customers can check it.
  • Says when it doesn't know instead of guessing.
  • Lists unanswered questions in your dashboard on paid plans, so you know which docs to write next.
  • Reads your website on every plan (10 pages on Free, up to 1,000 on Pro), plus documents on paid plans and Notion on Growth and Pro.

Where Tidio is stronger

  • Real-time live chat with a shared inbox and mobile apps.
  • Flows: visual, rule-based automations for sales and lead generation.
  • Multichannel: email, social and messaging channels in one inbox.
  • E-commerce integrations such as Shopify.

If those matter to you today, Tidio is a solid choice.

Where Qurius is a better fit

  • SaaS teams without someone on chat duty. Answers 24/7, hands off by email.
  • One simple price with no separate AI and human conversation counts.
  • Trust features built in: sources, "I don't know", and gap reports.
  • One script tag on any site: HTML, React, Next.js, Vue, WordPress, Webflow or Framer.
